Formula 1 | McLaren, Brown responds to Norris and De Vries: "There are no agreements for 2019"

Nyck De Vries takes a step back regarding a possible promotion to Formula One starting next season. According to what was declared by Zack Brown, in fact, there is no written agreement with the Academy riders for 2019. For De Vries, in fact, both he and Norris can boast a "clause" which requires the Woking team to assign him a seat in case of victory in Formula 2, a series in which both are involved. For the Team Principal, however, none of this is correct.

Here are the words of Zack Brown: “This is not a topic for discussion. Nyck is an excellent driver and McLaren will always try to put their talents in the best possible conditions. I would like to underline, however, that we have no verbal promises or written agreements for 2019. There is no table discussion about who will take the seat next year.”
