Formula 1 | Marseille ready to host an “F1 Live” event before the French GP

Formula 1 | Marseille ready to host an “F1 Live” event before the French GP

According to what was declared by Gilles Dufeigneux, mayor of the city of Marseille, Formula One will perform a London-style live event at the next French Grand Prix in Le Castellet. The French city is located approximately 40 kilometers from the Paul Ricard racetrack and will lend its streets for an “F1 Live” event.

The details of the event are not yet known, but the show should be held with the 2018 cars and will take place with the same dynamics as in London, i.e. a small show with the single-seaters followed by the drivers who will interact with the enthusiasts present on the street. A very interesting showcase for a Grand Prix that has been missing for nine years now. The GP at Ricard, we remember, will be the eighth round of the 2018 world championship.

Here are the words of the Mayor of Marseille: “The Grand Prix will be a huge spectacle and we will put on a show in Marseille. It will be an event like the one in London with drivers and many cars to admire. I can't give many details, but I'm sure it will be an unforgettable show for fans. As for the GP itself, however, we will set up a "fan zone" as in almost all European GPs with simulators, pit stop areas and shops. Liberty is working alongside us and we are sure that we will be able to put on a super show."
