Formula 1 | Marko has no doubts: “Verstappen is ready to win the world championship”

Helmut Marko has no doubts that Max Verstappen is ready to challenge for the world title. Interviewed by the German newspaper "Motorsport Magazin", the Austrian from Red Bull spoke of the growth shown by the Dutchman in the last two years, specifying how the car-driver package is ready to compete on equal terms with Mercedes for the championship. Despite the failures this year, Baku and Bahrain first and foremost, the Red Bull standard-bearer has always maintained a positive attitude, an aspect which obviously pushed the team to give 110% both on the track and in the factory.

“Max has shown all his potential this year and from my point of view he is ready to conquer the world championship,” said the Austrian from Red Bull. “In Bahrain we had problems with the track limits which deprived us of the victory, while in Baku we were unable to bring home 25 points due to the blowout of the left rear. He was leading the race and was actually having a masterful weekend. Despite these unsuccessful moves he has always maintained a positive attitude and this shows that he is making important steps forward towards victory. He is ready to fight until the end”.
