Formula 1 | Lotterer pinches Hamilton and Vettel: “Criticism on Formula E? They should test the single-seaters"

Interviewed by the Kolner Express newspaper, Andre Lotterer expressed his opinion on the many criticisms made by Formula 1 drivers towards Formula E, underlining how the electric category offers enthusiasts a spectacle worthy of the Circus.

The aerodynamic characteristics of the single-seaters, in fact, allow the series sponsored by Alejandro Agag to offer exciting races, full of overtaking and twists. Furthermore, settings such as Paris, Rome or Berlin make everything more characteristic and close to the heart of the city.

Lotterer, precisely in this sense, invited Vettel and Hamilton to try this type of competition first-hand, so as to have a clear idea in hand before any criticism of the series.

“We have incredible acceleration that comes from the characteristics of the electric motor,” said the Techeetah team driver. “We don't need large downforce like in Formula 1 and the aerodynamic characteristics of the cars, cheaper than the Circus, allow us to fight.”

“We drive on tracks located in exciting metropolises such as Paris, Rome and Berlin,” he continued. “Every race here feels like Monaco. Hamilton and Vettel should try all this before making judgements."
