Formula 1 | Leclerc: “It's optimistic to think of winning in Hungary”
"Optimistic after the last three races, but we have to remain cautious," said the Monegasque
Intercepted by RaceFans.net, Charles Leclerc outlined the objectives for the next Hungarian Grand Prix, the eleventh round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship, specifying that victory is not within the Scuderia's reach, at least in the short term.
Despite the high-load characteristics of the Hungaroring and the good performances shown in Monaco, the Monegasque believes Mercedes and Red Bull are still ahead in terms of performance, an aspect that will have to push the Red Bull to pay more attention to the duel with McLaren for third place in the builders.
“Being optimistic is normal after the last three races,” said the Monegasque from Ferrari. “At the same time, however, we need to be realistic. Honestly, it seems optimistic to think of a possible victory in Hungary. Winning a place behind the Red Bull-Mercedes duo would already be a fairly satisfactory result."
