“I learned a lot from Carlos and I think it's something that often happens when you find a new teammate at your side,” said the Monegasque from Ferrari. “I learned the ways in which Carlos approaches weekends and how he works, as well as his talent and speed, without forgetting his style.

“He had an incredible season, his first at the wheel of a Ferrari, and this obviously pushed me to improve. I think it has been a very interesting year for both of us. One of his strong points is his management of the race and the tyres, which is perhaps my weak point.
