Formula 1 | The FIA changes the regulations for "road shows": from 2018 current cars will be able to be used

During the last World Council, the International Automobile Federation modified the regulations regarding the use of cars during "show runs". From next year it will be possible to use the cars currently used by the teams and this will help the organizers to put together many more London-style events. For the F1 Live of Trafalgar Squadre, in fact, many teams had difficulty putting a single-seater on the road (Haas above all. ed.), especially because with the current regulations it is possible to carry out shows with cars prior to 2015. This has significantly annoyed Liberty Media, especially from an image point of view, and together with the FIA we worked with the aim of improving this point of the regulation.

From 2018, current cars will therefore be able to be used, as long as the event is organized by Libery Media and is limited to a mileage of fifteen kilometres. This will help the US management to organize more London-style events (perhaps in Italy itself), making Formula One more accessible to all fans.
