Formula 1 | The FIA confirms the technical innovations for Ferrari, Honda and Renault

With a press release published a few minutes ago, the International Federation made official all the new components mounted by the teams for this Canadian Grand Prix, the seventh round of the 2018 Formula One World Championship. As expected, Ferrari and Renault have chosen to mount various updates on the single-seaters, playing one of the wildcards available for what concerns the installation of new parts. The same goes for Honda, with Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley who will be able to count on two brand new power units.

Here are the news brought by the top teams for this GP

Sebastian Vettel The German will be able to count on three different upgrades for this race in Canada. Ferrari, in fact, will mount three new components on Seb's car (ICE, turbo and MGU-H.ndr). This is the first substitution of the season for the four-time World Champion.

Kimi Raikkonen Having mounted the thermal unit 2 in Spain, Ferrari has chosen to limit the innovations regarding the Finn, with Kimi who will only have the new turbo available.

Daniel Ricciardo Lots of news for the Australian too, with the Red Bull standard-bearer who will be able to count on updated ICE, turbo and MGU-H. Doubts about the MGU-K engine: Red Bull, in fact, will take to the track in FP1 with the component damaged in Monaco. If the results are negative, the replacement will be carried out before FP2.

Max Verstappen The Dutchman will fit the same innovations as Ricciardo, with the sole exception of the second EC electronic control unit. As for the MGU-K, however, Max will replace the one used in the Principality.

Here is the official press release with the replacements also implemented by Renault, Toro Rosso and McLaren
