Formula 1 | Kubica on the future: “Combining DTM and Formula 1 will not be easy”

In a chat given to the newspaper Przeglad Sportowy, Robert Kubica spoke about the double DTM – Formula 1 commitment that he will face in the 2020 season, highlighting the great difficulties associated with a program of this type.

According to the Pole, combining F1 and DTM will force him to face an intense, at times difficult, year, especially from a logistical point of view. A huge challenge, but one that the Pole intends to overcome after the disappointments he faced with Williams in 2019.

“Last year didn't go as expected, but despite this he will remain in Formula 1 in an operational role,” said Robert Kubica. “I am aware that a difficult task awaits me, given that combining DTM and Formula 1 is not easy”.

“Logistically it will be a great challenge, given that I will have to face ten weekends with the German series and 18 weekends with Alfa Romeo,” he continued. “Furthermore, the days of work in the factory and everything that revolves around these two worlds should not be underestimated”.

“A difficult task awaits us, at least from a commercial and sporting point of view, but I think we can handle it. I hope I will come out of the races in a better mood than last year." he concluded.
