Formula 1 | Bottas' wish: “To stay in Mercedes with Hamilton”
In view of 2019, the Finnish driver is pushing for a confirmation of the current line-up
Valtteri Bottas hopes that Mercedes, with a view to 2019, will fully confirm the current line-up. The situation of the 28-year-old Finn, as well as that of "The Hammer", is still being defined: the contract of both drivers, in fact, expires at the end of this season and, if Hamilton's renewal seems just a formality, it the same cannot be said for the former Williams driver, who will have to earn his stay in Brackley on the track.
Meanwhile, Bottas has given yet another confirmation of the good relations with Hamilton: “It would be nice if Lewis stayed too: I like working with him” – declared the pilot from Nastola. “The fact that he has won four World Cups, while I have none, pushes me to surpass myself. We work well together and that's why I would prefer to stay in this team with Lewis".
