Formula 1 | Hulkenberg: “I would be happy to race with anyone”
Palmer could be replaced by Alonso, Sainz Jr or Kubica
The pilot of the Renault he admitted that he doesn't have any kind of preference on his teammate for 2018.
The seat for next year seems to be safe for the German driver who is currently tenth in the drivers' standings with 34 points, contrary to what was done by Jolyon Palmer who has not yet scored a point.
There are three drivers who could in fact replace the English driver: Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz Jr e Robert Kubica (although unlikely).
However, Hulkenberg seems not to be at all interested in knowing who he will share the garage with in 2018; his only interest is to make progress between now and the end of the season:
“It's not up to me to decide, it's up to Abiteboul and the whole team. They want a winning package and I would be happy to race with anyone. For myself, I'm just interested in focusing on myself and making sure everything is going in the right direction.".
