Formula 1 | Hamilton on Formula E: “I'm not interested at the moment”
"I don't see myself in Formula E at the moment," added the Englishman
In a chat given to Square Mile magazine, Lewis Hamilton spoke of a possible move to Formula E in the near future, underlining how the scenario is currently difficult to achieve.
Despite the ethical reasons that push the electric series (zero pollution and environmental protection), the Englishman does not intend to abandon the pinnacle of motorsport, an aspect that will push him to confirm his commitment to Mercedes, at least for what concerns the near future..
“The only thing that could push me in Formula E are the ethical reasons for sustainability”, said the Englishman. “It's something I'm very aware of. At the moment it is difficult for me to want to be part of this change, since I fly everywhere."
On his commitment to Formula 1 he added: “I'm racing at the pinnacle of motorsport and Formula E won't be at the top for several years. At the moment I want to be at the top. I don't see myself in Formula E at the moment. I like the idea you represent, but it's not a plan for the foreseeable future."
