“I hope for more duels with Alonso in the near future”
The good performances shown in Mexico City by McLaren intrigued Lewis Hamilton. The current reigning World Champion spoke about the MCL32 chassis, underlining how the excellent development carried out during 2017 will allow the Woking Scuderia to be among the top teams already in the next world championship. In fact, with a competitive power train, Fernando Alonso will be able to have his say in the world championship, finally managing to give his all without running into annoying problems related to reliability.
Here are the words of the English pilot: “We all know Fernando Alonso. He is one of the best pilots in the Circus and his hand-to-hand skills are incredible. I was quite surprised by McLaren's performance in Mexico City, especially in specific sectors of the track, and they will be a concrete rival for 2018, especially with a competitive Power Unit. Alonso is a great driver and fighting with him was exciting. I hope to have more duels with him in the near future.".
