Formula 1 | Haas, Grosjean hopes for confirmation for 2019

There could still be Romain Grosjean in Haas' future. According to what was reported within the Brianza paddock, in fact, despite the numerous ups and downs of this championship, the American Scuderia is evaluating the confirmation of the French driver also in 2019, continuing on the path taken last year.

A surprising choice, especially after the many mistakes made by the former Lotus at the beginning of this season, which would lead the American team to confirm an extremely discussed and criticized line-up. Gunther Steiner and Gene Haas, however, would be appreciating the commitment shown by the Frenchman in recent weeks, author of several excellent performances and some points finishes.

It should be noted that a lot will depend on how the constructors' classification evolves over the next few weeks. In fact, if Haas were to reach fourth place, Steiner would have no problem confirming his drivers. A different matter, however, if Renault were to run away, leaving a bitter taste in the mouth of a team that did a great job over the winter.

The alternatives, we remember, bear the name of Esteban Ocon (a solution extremely appreciated by the Team Principal. ed.) and Kimi Raikkonen, with the latter who would consider a permanence of the Circus only in the face of a serious and valid project.
