The starting grid of the Russian Grand Prix will be littered with penalties. The FIA has communicated the list of drivers who will be sanctioned for having replaced components of their respective power units: Fernando Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley.

RED BULL – The Anglo-Austrian team, as already announced by those directly involved, the B specification of the Renault power unit is refitted on the single-seaters of Ricciardo and Verstappen, replacing the engine, turbo, MGU-H and MGU-K.

TORO ROSSO – The Faenza team debuts in Sochi with the latest specification of the Honda engine: a litmus test in view of the highly anticipated appointment in Japan, the Tokyo manufacturer's home GP.

MCLAREN – Finally, complete restyling for Alonso's MCL33, which relies on a new power unit in all its components.

The drivers penalized on Sunday will start in the same order in which they took to the track for the first time in FP1 (Norris, in this case, took Alonso's side):

16th – Alonso
17th – Ricciardo
18th – Verstappen
19th – Gasly
20th – Hartley
