Formula 1 | Portuguese GP, the DRS zones for the Portimao weekend

La FIA has made official the points where it will be possible to exploit the system DRS in GP of Portugal, third event of the 2021 world championship formula 1.

After the exciting Imola Grand Prix two weeks ago, with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton protagonists of a great battle for the championship leadership, teams and drivers will return to battle in Portimao, a fascinating circuit, full of slopes and variations of height, which the Circus "officially" faced for the first time only last year.

Unlike last year, the race commission has chosen to activate two zones, which will be positioned on the main straight of the Algarve circuit and in the stretch between four and five. The detection cells will be positioned shortly after curve 14 and before curve 4.

The weekend program, we remember, includes two one-hour free practice sessions on Friday and FP3 on Saturday morning. These 60 minutes of work on the track will be the last opportunity for teams and drivers to work on the set-ups in view of qualifying, scheduled for the same day at 14.00pm.

Green light on Sunday afternoon at 15.00 pm. The race can be followed live on Sky Sports F1 HD and deferred up TV8.
