Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow drivers, Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel, achieved the second and sixth fastest times respectively in the first free practice session of the Mexican Grand Prix.

Wet start. At the start of the session both Charles and Seb took to the track on intermediate tires as there were still some damp areas on the track after the heavy rain during the night. The first half hour therefore slipped away between starting and "out-in" tests without recording any timed times. When it was time to fit dry tires on both SF90s, medium tires were chosen and remained the only compound used by the team until the checkered flag.

44 rpm. Overall, Charles completed 23 laps, the best of which in 1'17”446, valid as the second best result. Sixth position for Sebastian who achieved a reference time of 21'1”18 in his 218 laps. The second free practice session is scheduled for 14pm local time (17pm CET).
