Formula 1 | Italian GP, Ricciardo excited ahead of Monza: "We want redemption"

Everything is ready at Renault for the next Italian Grand Prix, the fourteenth round of this 2019 Formula 1 world championship. After the good points scored in Spa, Nico Hulkenberg will try to confirm himself on the Monza track, giving a good performance to the entire team French. As for Ricciardo, however, the Australian will seek redemption after the sensational crash in Belgium, given that the characteristics of the Brianza track should reward the aerodynamic conformation of the RS19.

“The track is high speed and requires a lot in terms of engine”, said Nico Hulkenberg. “For this weekend we have launched a low-load aerodynamic set-up, probably the lowest of the season, given that we need to reach high speeds on the straights”.

On Belgium he instead declared: “Spa was a difficult weekend for a number of reasons, but in the end it was nice to bring home some points. We have demonstrated our abilities, both in qualifying and in the race, and we will aim to confirm ourselves during this weekend. Our goal is to have a strong weekend, so as to conclude this first part of the season with a solid performance."

Here are Daniel Ricciardo's assessments: “The fans are always special in Monza and the passion is incredible. There's a lot of red flashes and chaos everywhere, but it's pretty cool to see everyone let loose. I always look forward to the parade of drivers, as the atmosphere pumps you up before the race.”

Obviously, there was a reference to the Spa weekend: “I'm happy to put the Belgian match behind us, given that it was our Sunday. ended practically at the first corner. Unfortunately we suffered damage to the car which did not allow us to recover positions. We had a good pace in qualifying and should have scored important points. Monza is an opportunity to raise your head immediately."
