A lot of aerodynamic work by Ferrari in the first free practice of the Canadian Grand Prix, the seventh round of this 2019 Formula 1 world championship. According to what Matteo Bobbi reported during yesterday afternoon's FP2, in fact, the Red team has installed a new type of aerodynamic system on the SF90. brake baskets, with the aim, obviously, of solving the chronic problem of warming up the front tires.
The new concept is based on the temperature transition from the brake to the rim, so as to reach the compound's usage window more quickly. It should be noted that the new component was used in the morning by Sebastian Vettel, while in the afternoon it was mounted on Charles Leclerc's SF90. We'll see if the Red team confirms this approach in the free practice scheduled for this afternoon.
