Everything is ready at Pirelli for the next Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the fourth round of this 2019 Formula 1 world championship.

After the good management of the weekend in China, in fact, the Italian tire manufacturer is ready to face the interesting challenge of the Baku Street Circuit, a track that contains many slow corners, especially in the second sector, and a series of very violent early braking sections by long straights.

Pirelli, we remember, has chosen the C2, C3 and C4 tires for this weekend on the shores of the Black Sea.

“The biggest challenge in Baku is to find the right balance between the front and rear axle in order to make the tires work in the correct window of use”, revealed Mario Isola, head of F1 and Car Racing at Pirelli. “It's a pretty varied circuit, with a straight that's almost two kilometers long and some very technical corners.”

“Safety car periods, always possible on this track, can become an opportunity from a strategic perspective,” he continued. “The three compounds nominated, C2, C3 and C4, should best adapt to the characteristics of this track, where one of the most difficult races to predict takes place. It is the most unusual street circuit, with high speeds and the second longest lap of the year.”
