Formula 1 | Giovinazzi approves the choice not to take part in the Australian GP

Through his social channels, Antonio Giovinazzi commented on the choice not to contest the Australian Grand Prix, the inaugural event of the 2020 Formula 1 world championship, underlining how the FIA, FOM and teams have chosen to favor not only the health of the paddock, visibly shaken after the withdrawal of McLaren (a technician tested positive for Coronavirus), but also that of the many fans who should have followed the GP from the stands.

“For months we worked hard and couldn't wait to see the traffic lights go out, but the right decision was made,” declared Antonio Giovinazzi. “Health comes before anything and it is not rhetorical to say so. This is the time for courage. Our sport runs at over 300 km/h, but has found the courage to stop. We must all wait, with commitment and responsibility, for the end of this difficult moment."
