Formula 1 | FW43, Claire Williams reveals: “2020 is a new beginning for the team”

Interviewed by the team's official website, Claire Williams outlined an initial assessment of the new FW43, the car with which George Russell and Nicholas Latifi will face the next 2020 Formula 1 world championship, underlining how the objective of the English team is to return to battle for the important areas of the ranking.

After the disaster of last season, Latifi and Russell will have the task of maximizing the performance of the FW43, giving the team a profoundly different world championship compared to that of 2019, especially from the point of view of results.

“This year marks a new beginning for the team,” said Claire Williams. “We have addressed the weaknesses that emerged in the past season and have focused not only on placing people in the right roles, but also on developing structures.”

“We are all committed to rebuilding Williams and the objective is to bring the team back to the competitiveness it deserves,” he continued. “The fighting spirit is still very present within the team and we want to fight until we reach the goals we have set for ourselves.”
