Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc completed a total of 55 laps at the wheel of their respective SF1000s in the first free practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix. Both drivers were able to use the new aerodynamic package that had been brought for the Styrian Grand Prix.

First laps. Sebastian e Charles they followed two different programs in terms of tyres: the German started his session with Hard tyre, achieving a first time of 1'19"032, while the Monegasque mounted Medium tires and clocked 1'18"803. Both quickly improved their performance, dropping to 1'18"408 and 1'18"285 respectively. A rather heavy rain then began to fall on the Hungaroring track, which advised all the drivers to return to the pits.

Long runs. When the weather conditions improved the two Ferraris returned to the track obtaining their respective best times: Vettel in 1'17”238 and Leclerc in 1'17”464. The final part of the session was once again dedicated to setting up the car and working on the race configuration. On the long runs both Sebastian, who completed a total of 26 laps, and Charles, 29, achieved consistent times.

Plan. The second free practice session is scheduled for 15pm CET. Tomorrow the last hour of testing is scheduled for 12pm, while the starting grid will be defined starting from 15pm. The 35th Hungarian Grand Prix will start on Sunday at 15.10pm.
