Formula 1 | Leclerc fever, Sticchi Damiani has no doubts: “Charles is a phenomenon”

After the splendid performances displayed in Bahrain, Angelo Sticchi Damiani wanted to have his say on Charles Leclerc's talent and desire, underlining how the Monegasque managed to quickly adapt to the conditions present in Maranello.

The electrical unexpected in the Middle East deprived the Red standard bearer of a practically certain success, but the President of the ACI still wanted to underline how the appointment with the victory has only been postponed by a few weeks, given the enormous talent shown by the former Sauber standard bearer last weekend.

“Leclerc is a phenomenon, I knew it, we had already understood it and we had proof of it,” said Angelo Sticchi Damiani. “Put in a car that was going very well up to ten laps from the end, he demonstrated that he is fast, that he has temperament and that he knows how to drive very well.”

On the technical problem that slowed him down in Bahrain while he was leading he added: “What happened in the last GP is known, given that there was a short circuit in a control unit. We are talking about something that can happen and which unfortunately is difficult to predict."

“These are the unexpected classics, but Leclerc made us dream and we are convinced that both he and Vettel will make us win the world championship this year,” he concluded.
