Formula 1 | Briatore pessimistic about the Leclerc – Hamilton pairing: “It could prove to be a risk”

Despite the enthusiasm shown by the fans over the last few days, Flavio Briatore preferred to follow a totally different path regarding the possible arrival of Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari, underlining how a duo formed by the Englishman and Leclerc could create considerable problems to management, especially if clear management without any imperfections is not implemented.

According to the Italian manager, in fact, the Rossa should concentrate all its attention on the Monegasque, entrusting the second seat to a less cumbersome driver. A line-up with clear roles that would allow Ferrari to maximize results with the first driver (in this case Leclerc.ndr).

“Lewis in Ferrari? I would think about it for a while to be honest." said Flavio Briatore. “The Red team already has a driver of Hamilton's caliber and having two standard bearers of this type under the same roof could prove to be a risk. He has already seen himself with Vettel and Leclerc."

“Let's not forget that in recent years, given the superiority of Mercedes, Hamilton has been able to drive very relaxed, almost without ever making mistakes,” he continued. “I would consider a choice of this type carefully”.
