The meeting would have taken place a few days ago inside the Catalan Parliament
According to what was declared by the Spanish media yesterday, Liberty Media and the representatives of the Barcelona circuit have started discussions regarding the confirmation of Montmelò within the world calendar.
The Spanish Grand Prix, we remember, has a contract valid until the end of 2019 and the meeting, which took place within the Catalan Parliament, would have laid the foundations for a multi-year contract beyond the natural expiration of the current contract.
The parties will update again in a few weeks, but as reported by the EFE news agency, the meeting would have shown the desire to continue an extremely important collaboration for Formula 1 (Barcelona, remember, is also home to the pre-season tests .ed).
