Formula 1 | Aston Martin looking for redemption in the Monaco GP
“There is no other track like this,” said Vettel
The first four races of the season have not smiled at all for Aston Martin which has currently only scored seven points in the Constructors' World Championship ahead of only Alfa Romeo, Haas and Williams. The Silverstone team is aiming for redemption on the Monte Carlo track, where surprises are always at home. Above all, it will be essential to build a good qualifying, which in the Principality has a very high impact on the race result, to try to obtain a placement in the points.
"There is a long season ahead and the new parts we raced with in Barcelona seemed like an improvement and are helping us move forward – said Sebastian Vettel – The goal is to build this in Monte-Carlo. We know that our race pace has often been stronger than our single lap pace, so this weekend we will focus a lot on this very important qualifying performance. I'm excited for the Monaco challenge, there's no other track like it".
"It was a shame we couldn't race in Monaco last year, so I'm really excited to be back this year – said Lance Stroll – We know we need to keep pushing hard to find improvements, and that's exactly what we're doing. With such a close battle in the middle of the pack anything can happen, especially in a place like this. If we continue our weekend with determination, we will aim for the points".
