Formula 1 | Alonso: “I hope to renew with McLaren”

Alonso-McLaren, the marriage will continue. This is what emerges from the latest statements released by the executive director of the English team Zak Brown (“We are close to an extension”, ed.) and by the Spanish driver himself: “I always said that I would wait for the team's decision first” – reiterated Alonso a Sky Sports F1. “Over the last weekend they announced their plans for the next two years, now I will evaluate this project in detail. Despite the poor results, I spent three fantastic years with this team, so I hope I can find an agreement".

Fernando's intentions have been quite clear for some time: the priority is the third world title and, with the transition to engines Renault, the Woking team could guarantee him a competitive car, capable of constantly fighting for the top positions. The official announcement is expected in the coming weeks: unless there are dramatic changes, Alonso will continue his relationship with McLaren.
