Formula 1 | Alonso on the poison: "Little time to train before the season, all this is unfair"

Formula 1 Alonso – While waiting to fly to Bahrain for the first and only pre-season test session, Fernando Alonso harshly criticized the choice to grant only three days of testing to drivers and teams, specifying that the time available on the Sakhir track is not enough to complete all the work necessary to get a World Championship off to a great start.

According to the Iberian, the three-day configuration does not help the division of work within the team and allows too little margin for error, especially in a delicate phase of the season such as the pre-season. A condition that is no longer acceptable and which should push all parties involved to evaluate a commitment to testing with two cars rather than just one.

Alonso believes the short time available is unfair

“I've been thinking all winter about how unfair it is to only have a day and a half of testing to prepare for a world championship. When you plan the activity over three days you cannot correctly divide the hours of activity between the pilots. I also don't understand why we don't go with two cars. We are already in Bahrain, home to the first GP of the season, the other scheduled for the week following the test. It all seems so stupid to me."
