Formula 1 | Alfa Romeo Sauber, Leclerc: “Extraordinary result”

First career points finish for Charles Leclerc in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, fourth round of the 2018 Formula One World Championship. In fact, after yesterday's excellent qualifying, the Monegasque managed to take a super sixth place, making up for a start to the season that was below expectations. A different story however for Marcus Ericsson, author of an absolutely negative weekend.

Here are the words of Charles Leclerc: “It was a fantastic race and I am very happy with my result. The race was certainly eventful and with many accidents, but we did well not to make any mistakes, achieving a really important points placement. Inside the car I felt at ease and this is the most important thing for the continuation of the championship. It's an incredible feeling to score my first points in Formula One and I hope to continue on this path."

Here are Marcus Ericsson's impressions: “It was a difficult race for me. I was involved in an accident at the start of the race and suffered some damage to the car. I struggled to keep the pace and couldn't keep up with the riders in front of me. Eleventh position is good, but not what we expected at the start of this weekend. I can't wait to leave for Barcelona. We want to put this bad weekend behind us."
