Formula 1 | Alfa Romeo Sauber, Leclerc positive: “Montreal favorable track”

After the latest disappointment in Monaco, Charles Leclerc can't wait to test himself in the next Canadian Grand Prix, the seventh round of the 2018 Formula 1 world championship. The circuit named after Gilles Villeneuve, at least on paper, should adapt to the characteristics of the C37, which is why the Monegasque hopes to conclude this weekend in Montreal with a good haul of points. The same goes for Marcus Ericsson, with the Swede wanting to return to the top ten after a couple of good performances.

Here are the words of Marcus Ericsson: “I can't wait to get back to Montreal. We are talking about a circuit with long straights and quite heavy braking which makes it really interesting to drive. It has some technical parts and the famous "wall of champions", a challenging point for us riders. We approach the weekend on the strength of some good performances and it will be interesting to see our performance at this circuit. For us, at least on paper, it should be a great opportunity, which is why I can't wait to get into the cockpit."

Here are the words of Charles Leclerc: “I don't know the circuit, but I can't wait to go to Canada. I only drove the track on the simulator and I have to say that I liked it, but obviously I will only have the first reliable feedback on Friday. We have seen our potential in the last race weekends and the layout of this track should allow us to be quite competitive. It will be an interesting weekend."
