Force India: An eighth place and a retirement in Singapore
Force India closes the Singapore Grand Prix with Adrian Sutil's eighth place after a good comeback and with Liuzzi's retirement due to a contact in the early stages of the race.
Adrian Sutil – Pos 8:
“It was a really difficult race today, in the heat and humidity and followed by a car closely throughout the race. I started from 15th position and I think this was the best I could do. It's a fantastic result especially after yesterday's disappointment. It is a very important result for the position in the standings ahead of Williams. That's why I tried to keep Hulkenberg behind – all the points are very important. Now let's go to Suzuka, one of my favorite tracks, where I will do my best to have a good end to the season.”
Tonio Liuzzi – retired:
“The first lap was difficult. I had a good start and tried to overtake Heidfeld, who went straight into turn 7 side by side with Sutil. I was on my line but then they both came back at me and I was pushed against the wall. I had some contact with Heidfeld and damaged the front wing and broke the rear suspension. It's really disappointing how this race developed because I could have achieved a good result. In any case, now it's Japan where I hope to be able to have a better race.”
