Force India, Perez: “When I return to Suzuka I think of my friend Jules Bianchi”

Every time Formula One returned to Suzuka after that terrible 5 October 2014, the first thought goes right to the memory of Jules Bianchi. The late Manor driver, from the Ferrari school, died in Nice on 17 July 2015 after a nine-month ordeal, following the serious injuries caused by the impact with a tractor, positioned on the edge of the track to remove Adrian Sutil's Sauber, at height of turn 7 of the Japanese track.

Today it was Sergio Perez who remembered Bianchi's memory. The Mexican, fresh from his renewal with Force India, shared the path with the Frenchman in the Ferrari Driver Academy.

"Unfortunately, when I come back here, I can't help but think of a friend of mine: Jules Bianchi. I knew him well, he was an excellent pilot – Perez said – We miss him, he will remain forever in our hearts. Suzuka is not an important city, unlike the circuit, which is spectacular and dangerous at the same time. This is an unforgiving track that puts drivers to the test. For myself, the best part of the track is represented by the first sector, where the steep curves are taken speed".

"This is undoubtedly one of the best circuits in the championship – continued the Mexican – The car must be sufficiently balanced to avoid problems. Sometimes the wind here can cause a lot of problems".
