Force India, Perez: “Not lapping in the first free practice sessions this morning was frustrating”

Bittersweet day for Force India on the Barcelona track. Despite Nico Hulkenberg's excellent impressions on the setting of the car for this weekend in Spain, Sergio Perez was unable to find the key to the problem during today's two sessions. A real shame given that, as explained by the Mexican, the Indian team was unable to test all the updates planned for today. Both drivers will therefore have to dedicate part of free practice 3 to evaluating the parts not tested today.

Here are the words of Sergio Perez: “Not running in the first free practice this morning was frustrating, especially when you have updates to test and evaluate on the track, but fortunately we managed to make up for the time lost during free practice 2. We need to fix something in terms of set-up and balance of the car since we are not completely ok, but it is work that we will carry out during free practice 3. We hope to transform the great work of this weekend into a placing in the race".

Here are Nico Hulkenberg's impressions: “We managed to complete most of our program and therefore today can be considered positive. We have collected various data that we will need for tomorrow's race and this is really important, also considering the high consumption on this track. Tonight we will analyze everything and try to put together the best package for tomorrow's qualifying. We have a good starting point and this gives me hope."
