Force India, Hulkenberg: “Another difficult Friday due to the weather conditions”

In free practice for the German Grand Prix at the Hockenheim circuit, the three Force India drivers were hampered by rain.

Nico Hulkenberg – 6: “Another Friday where it was difficult to find a rhythm and complete the work list. In the morning the rains gave us very little time to run on the dry tyres, so I didn't really have an idea for the experimental hard compound tyre. The track surface here is also very smooth and grip was quite low this morning, particularly on the wet parts of the track. With the rain showers this afternoon, all we could do was figure out wet and intermediate tires in case the wet weather continues tomorrow.”

Paul di Resta – 18: “A very short day for me with limited mileage in the wet. The track was drying really well towards the middle of the session and I was on slicks until the rain returned. I've done our preparation in the wet so we just need to see what the weather will be like tomorrow."

Jules Bianchi: “It wasn't an easy morning due to the rain, which meant we had to stop and wait for the track to dry. The rain wasn't heavy, but it made the track very slippery, I did most of my laps on the medium compounds and I was improving lap after lap. I set my fastest lap on my last run, when the track conditions were at their best and I was able to get close to the car's limit.”
