Force India: Di Resta, “Optimistic for the race”

The comments of Paul Di Resta and Adrian Sutil of Force India at the end of qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix on the Suzuka circuit.

Paul Di Resta – Pos 12: “Considering where we started yesterday, I think we should be quite happy with P12. Slowly but surely we made the car more drivable and in qualifying we felt quite good. The overnight efforts of everyone at the track helped dial the car into the circuit. Compared to yesterday the car is much more stable and predictable, which allowed us to be close to Q3. I feel optimistic for the race and we are in a good position to fight for points with a free choice on tire strategy.”

Adrian Sutil – Pos 17: “It wasn't an easy day, I made a mistake this morning, damaged the car and we had to change the gearbox. I have to say a big 'thank you' to the team for getting the car ready in time for qualifying, because they had a lot of work to do during the lunch break. In Q1 the car was quite difficult to drive, I didn't feel comfortable and I lacked the grip to be competitive. All I can do now is look forward to the race and hope we have a better day. With the grid penalty for replacing the gearbox I will start from the back so I need to look for a constant race pace and hopefully aim for the points.”
