Force India is looking for new drivers: Liuzzi's future in doubt

Jarno Trulli's place in the 2011 world championship is secure, but it seems the same cannot be said about that of the other Italian driver Vitantonio Liuzzi.

Speaking of the increasingly fewer Italians in Formula 1, Autosprint cited 1989, when no fewer than 12 drivers from the Peninsula were present on the grid.
Now there are just two, and the veteran Trulli is expected to renew with Lotus Racing.
But the other Italian driver, Vitantonio Liuzzi, although in possession of a contract for 2011, will certainly be trembling, as Force India is evaluating who to field next season.
His 2010 teammate, Adrian Sutil, said he had reached an agreement to remain in the team next year, while Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg appear to be serious contenders for the other available seat.
Hulkenberg's manager Willi Weber revealed talks with Vijay Mallya's team while reserve driver, Scot Paul di Resta, saw his chances improve at the weekend after winning his first German DTM title.
“I certainly hope to be able to have a seat with them next year, because I would like to maintain this long collaboration,” di Resta said on Monday.
“My dream is to become Formula 1 world champion, and that's the next box I have to tick. I will continue to hope that it will happen,” she added.
Allan McNish, di Resta's compatriot and ex-Toyota driver, is also hoping the 24-year-old can make his debut next March.
“If you take into consideration the mistakes made by Sutil and Liuzzi in the last races, Paul should be told that he has a good chance of being in F1 next year. Unfortunately, there is a lot of politics in the world of motorsports and F1 is the pinnacle of that, so it's not just about the driver's performance,” McNish explained recently.
