Force India, Bob Fernley: “Our goal is to catch up with Williams”
The deputy team principal sets the target to which the Anglo-Indian team must aspire
Force India is now a reality of the Circus, a customer team (or independent if you prefer) capable of climbing up to the top five of the Constructors' classification and putting together seasons that are almost always positive, with regular placings in the points. In 2015 the Indian team based in Silverstone also had the chance to savor the podium, achieved with the valiant Sergio Perez in the Russian GP.
Deputy team principal Bob Fernley has on more than one occasion expressed the team's desire to continue its growth path, trying to become a real big name in F1.
“Our goal should be to become as competitive as Williams, an independent team capable of challenging for the podium - Fernley assured - From an aerodynamic and chassis point of view they did a great job, better than ours and this means that we can and must improve. In 2015, since the second half of the season we have become very close, so nothing is impossible. But results of a certain level can only be achieved through continuous progress.".
