Force India: Just outside the points in Australia

The Force India F1 Team made an excellent start to the 2011 season today in the Australian Grand Prix, with Adrian Sutil finishing in 11th position and Paul di Resta finishing his first Grand Prix in 12th position, just outside the zone points.

Adrian Sutil, Pos 11
Overall it wasn't a bad race. Coming up from 16th wasn't easy, the start itself was good and as usual there are a lot of cars at the first corner, but I made up several positions by the end of the first lap. We had good performances on the track and in the end it was a good race for the first grand prix of the season. It's a shame to be just outside the top ten, but hopefully we have improved our pace and get into the points in Malaysia.

Paul Di Resta, Pos 12
I made a good start and fought with Kobayashi, but that allowed one of the Toro Rossos to pass and from there I lost a bit of momentum. Our pace was just a little slow today, but I hope that in Malaysia we will be able to understand why and, when the updates arrive, be more competitive. Adrian and I were on different strategies and had to save fuel towards the end, that's why the gap increased. I'm going to Malaysia to try to do a better job than I did here today, but overall I'm quite happy.
