F1 race director Charlie Whiting this week inspected the Sochi circuit, site of the first Russian Grand Prix in 2014. Race organizers confirmed that the FIA safety delegate was satisfied with the progress made with the works of the Sochi circuit. The city will also host the Winter Olympic Games.
“I was impressed by the layout of the track. The scale of the project is also truly remarkable,” Whiting said.
