FIA: the selection process for the 13th F1 team will soon be reopened

The FIA has announced that it will soon reopen the selection process for a potential 13th Formula 1 team for 2011. The Federation took this decision following the abandonment of US F1, which had already entered this year but was not ready to race. . The American team had asked for a one-year extension but the Federation decided to select another competitor.
Lola, Epsilon Euskadi, Prodrive and N.Technology were among the alternatives.
The USF1 team now also risks sanctions for not participating in the 2010 season.
The FIA also confirmed that it has granted a superlicense to Karun Chandok ahead of his F1 debut with the HRT team this weekend in Bahrain.
