Ecclestone will meet the teams tomorrow

In the Shanghai paddock, on the Thursday of the Chinese GP, the message was clear: the Bahrain GP will take place next weekend.
Bernie Ecclestone declared in China that the only ones in a position to possibly cancel the event are the local authorities and the organizers, who are firmly convinced of bringing F1 back to their country after two years, despite the revolutionary unrest.
“Absolutely nothing has changed,” an FIA spokesperson told the SID agency. “At the moment there are no reasons to change our decision at the beginning of the year to include Bahrain in the world championship calendar,” he added.
Bernie Ecclestone is expected to meet the teams on Friday while FIA president Jean Todt has not yet arrived in China.
