Ferrari, Vettel sounds the charge: "Overwhelmed by the red passion, next year we will win more"

Overwhelmed by the "red passion", which he does not hesitate to define as magical. Sebastian Vettel he still has the same shining eyes as a year ago, when he began his adventure in Ferrari. The German joked, smiled, but between the lines he urged the team to win more, to fight on equal terms with Mercedes, to recover a gap that still persists, despite the great steps forward made. But the season overall was positive, and Sebastian wants to try to give more emotions to the Cavallino universe, trying to win the Brazilian GP already.

“We are not yet a real threat to Mercedes, otherwise this season would have ended differently – Seb admitted in the press conference – Obviously I would like to finish second in the championship".

To a specific question about a strength and a weakness of his team, Vettel responded as follows: “I was overwhelmed by the red passion that can be felt in the team and among the fans, by the magic of Ferrari. This year we had a lot of fun, achieved good results and had some nice parties after the race. I would say that our weak point is alcohol, we need to handle it better. In 2016 we need to get into the habit of celebrating more..." 

The metaphor about parties and people is clear drink, with victories the only way to improve alcohol resistance, in order to organize more post-GP parties. Even jokingly, Vettel proves to be a real driving force, sending clear messages to the environment.

The German then focused on the upcoming Brazilian GP, ​​with the specific aim of annoying Mercedes, trying to hit the big target. Sebastian likes the Interlagos circuit and is curious to race in Sao Paulo for the first time in the red suit, after often being treated as an opponent, given the vast majority of Ferrari fans.

“The objective is to do well, to attack at our best. I would like to win both races but we know it is difficult because we are not the favorites and the only way to do it would be to beat Mercedes. The Mexican result certainly didn't help, but the possibility is there, we have to keep pushing – explained Vettel –  We have to do our job and look at ourselves, and not too much at what others do or don't do. I think we have a great car, this year we have shown that it can do well on all types of track. I also believe that it will be a difficult weekend here, Brazil is always a bit special, because the weather can change very quickly and for this reason we need to be clear and concentrated. I like the circuit in general, there isn't one corner that I love in particular, overall what gives me pleasure is the pace throughout the lap, and once you cross the finish line I would start again. It's a nice place to race, there are always a lot of people with a lot of passion for racing, and it's nice to race in front of them. Usually there are a lot of Ferrari fans, in the past they were against me, this year I think it's the opposite... so I can't wait to be in the race."
