Ferrari, Vettel: "We are trying in every way to reduce the gap to Mercedes"
The four-time world champion does not lose hope and believes in the potential of the SF16-H
Sebastian Vettel does not lose hope and looks to the future with optimism, despite 2016 not having started in the best way. In the first five outings of the season, the four-time winner collected 48 points compared to 80 in 2015, which also included the historic first victory in red in Malaysia. Despite some initial hitches, the German strongly believes in the new technical project created in Maranello.
“We have improved, even if the results obtained on the track say the opposite – Vettel told Sport Bild – the gap to Mercedes is still there, but it got shorter. It is clear that we cannot move a mountain overnight".
"We are trying in every way to reduce the gap to Mercedes – continued the German – pUnfortunately, some problems have slowed down our work. SWe are trying to remedy these unexpected events. We anticipated the debut of some components because we think they can give us benefits in terms of speed."
