Ferrari, Vettel believes in the comeback: "The title is possible"
Even the German, like Marchionne and Arrivabene, does not intend to throw in the towel
At Ferrari they really don't intend to raise the white flag. After the statements of president Sergio Marchionne and team principal Maurizio Arrivabene, another authoritative voice from Cavallino believes in the championship comeback. We are talking about Sebastian Vettel.
Despite the dominance expressed by Mercedes also in this first part of 2016 (the Stuttgart team dominates the constructors' classification with 81 points ahead of Ferrari), the German - third in the World Championship, 45 points behind the leader Nico Rosberg - does not intend in the slightest be overwhelmed by despair.
“We have not yet reached the halfway point of the season: there is still a long way to go – said the German to Sky Sports UK –. TOWe had a difficult start to the season which certainly wasn't part of our plans. But we're not too badly off in the standings and we know that our car has improved compared to last year."
“The season is full of commitments – Vettel continued – our team can do great things. We must take one step at a time, without paying too much attention to our position in the championship and without allowing ourselves to be influenced by external judgements. Only the ranking position we will occupy at the end of the season will count".
