Ferrari, registered office in the Netherlands? The Modena senators of the PD rise up

It's no longer new: the holding of Ferrari he will speak Dutch despite the tax headquarters remaining in Maranello, who knows for how long. If Marchionne and the FCA didn't have too many problems moving the Rossa's registered office in Amsterdam, there is not too much to be calm about imagining how, perhaps in a few years, the final and laconic decision to move the tax headquarters out of Italy may arrive. The topic came back great topicality in the last hours after a delegation of PD senators from Modena presented a question to the Minister of Development, Federica Guidi, regarding the matter.

I senators Stefano Vaccari and Maria Cecilia Guerra have expressed all their concerns regarding a possible future transformation of Ferrari which would have generated several doubts both at a local level, and mainly in the Modena area, and at a national level.

The answer came, but not from the minister, as one might expect. The FCA group tried to remove any concerns through a press release: “Ferrari will continue to have nationality and tax residence in Italy. Ferrari will pay taxes on their income as all companies tax resident in Italy do today – we read in the official note – The planned structure has no difference compared to the current structure, in which FCA, a company incorporated in the Netherlands, is the parent company of Ferrari. The use of a Dutch parent company is necessary in order to have a practical mechanism feasible and efficient to distribute ownership of Ferrari to FCA shareholders. The operation will not involve the displacement of personnel from Ferrari, nor will it reduce employment levels or the activities currently conducted by Ferrari in Italy", concludes the statement. Taking into account the premises, there is too little to stay calm. Hope is always the last to die but in some cases it's a different story.
