Ferrari: Rory Byrne working on the 2014 car

Rory Byrne, the designer who designed Schumacher-era Ferraris, was present at the unveiling of the F138 in Maranello on Friday. The South African told Auto Motor und Sport that he is working "at full capacity" on the project for the 2014 Rossa which will be powered by the brand new turbo V6.

“It's a beautiful car,” said Byrne when referring to the F138. “But it's child's play compared to what lies ahead for 2014.”

Ferrari will aim to win the 2013 world championship and team boss Stefano Domenicali has confirmed that the designers have adopted "some extreme solutions" to compete with Red Bull.

“We are just waiting for Newey's complaints about our rear suspension,” a team source told Auto Motor und Sport.

The source refers to the rear profile which imitates the 2012 one seen on the Red Bull but which is even more extreme.
