Ferrari, Raikkonen: “Playing a good race for the fans”
The Finnish Ferrari driver is confident about the car's progress
Last year at Interlagos Ferrari ran in backup positions, and Kimi Raikkonen he was the protagonist of a nice duel on equal terms with his then teammate Fernando Alonso. The Finn is convinced that the Red team has made great progress this year, being more or less fast on every track. Without thinking about the title won in 2007, Raikkonen is focused on the present with the hope of giving the fans a good end to the season, starting from this Brazilian GP.
“This is the track where I won my world title in 2007, but I don't think it makes sense to measure our potential here by reference to the past – Raikkonen said – Compared to last year, for example, there are many tracks where we have highlighted great improvements. Last season we lacked speed, this year we were strong: now it's just a matter of putting everything in order. Sometimes I made mistakes, other times I had problems with the car, but what really matters is that all the changes made this year went in the right direction. Now I hope to finish the season well, it was nice to receive the support of our fans last weekend at Mugello."
