Ferrari, Raikkonen: “Happy until the last lap…”
Kimi admits he had to 'push the limit'
"We got pretty much what we could out of the car today – said Kimi Raikkonen, 5th in qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix – Obviously the result is a bit disappointing, but this is a difficult circuit. Fifth position isn't ideal, but I was quite happy with my first lap in Q3 and the car performed well. In the last attempt I knew I had to push the limit a little if I wanted to improve, but unfortunately it didn't pay off. I made some mistakes, I went wide at Turn 1 and skidded. There is no problem with the car, just a certain lack of grip in general, and this makes a big difference in Singapore. Tomorrow we need to make a good start and build the race from there, the various teams will use different tire strategies. The race will be long, and usually a lot of things happen: we have to try to make the right choices at the right time and move forward".
