Ferrari, almost certain to return to push rod suspension for 2014

Ecclestone: "I don't know if in 2013 the problem was Ferrari or Fernando"

Ferrari, almost certain to return to push rod suspension for 2014

Ferrari's return to push rod suspensions for the 2014 Formula 1 season would be almost certain. In 2012, the Maranello company amazed with the use of the pull rod scheme but in 2013 the solution seems not to have borne fruit.

McLaren in turn imitated Ferrari in 2013 but encountered serious difficulties in developing the car, having one of its worst seasons in the last ten years.

Ferrari's step back may have been influenced by new signing James Allison, responsible for the innovative Lotus projects of recent years.

According to Bernie Ecclestone, with the new additions to the technical team, Ferrari will truly return to the top in 2014: "People think that the name Ferrari is enough to win, but I think that Mr Montezemolo has invested much more in the team for next year and we will see a Very different Ferrari." To those who asked him what Ferrari's weak point was in 2013 he replied: “I don't know if the problem was Ferrari or Fernando (Alonso). I hope he hasn't lost his enthusiasm. When you think that your team is not able to give you the car you want there is a problem."
